The Lightning Thief was a great book. It takes Greek mythology into modern times. It's about a kid name Percy (Perseus) Jackson who finds out Greek mythology (all the monsters and gods) are real and that he is the son of Posiedon (god of the sea). Him and his father are blamed for stealing Zeus's (god of the sky) master bolt, Percy brefiends Annabeth daughter of Anthena (goddess of wisdom) and Grover a satyr and together they set out on a dangerous quest to clear him and his father's name.
